Strings for Any Ceremony or Reception
Encore Strings can cater to any budget and need. From soloists through to large ensembles, your My Wedding Music consultant will help you to choose an appropriate ensemble for you.
STRING ENSEMBLES
String ensembles offer an elegant touch to any event, and are available in duos (2), trios (3) and quartets (4). Of these options, quartets offer the richest harmonies and most balanced sound, and are by far our most popular option.
DOUBLE QUARTET
The Double Quartet is a large ensemble of four violins, two violas and two cellos lead by a conductor, and offers an immersive and impressive sound for larger ceremonies and receptions.

The Ceremony
A wedding is an especially significant occasion in one's life, and has throughout history been intertwined with a rich musical tradition. With a close relationship with our sister brand My Wedding Music, Encore Strings specialise in wedding ceremonies and receptions. Our performers and staff are renowned professionals who can be trusted to provide a string ensemble service beyond any previously available in the wedding industry.
Upon confirmation of booking, your Encore consultant will advise you on selecting your Ceremony Music. As many denominations maintain strict policies on acceptable styles of performance, if you are holding a religious service, you will need to discuss your choice of music with your Encore consultant and your religious celebrant.
The Prelude – You will need a selection of pieces to be played as your guests arrived, approximately 15 to 30 minutes before the arrival of the bride. Generally elegant and soothing, this music will define the tone of your ceremony.
The Processional – Select music with a steady, well-defined tempo to accompany the entrance of the wedding party as they walk down the aisle.
The Entrance of the Bride – Your choice of music should direct the attention of your guests to the bride as she makes her entrance.
The Ceremony (Signing of the Register)- Your ceremony music should represent your personal taste, but keep in mind that you’ll be looking back on your ceremony for the rest of your life – in ten years do you really want to be reminiscing about signing the registry to the “Chicken Dance”?
The Recessional – Choose upbeat music as the bride and groom return down the aisle to begin their lives as husband and wife.
Before your special day, our staff will take the time to ensure you are happy with all our arrangements. Our Wedding Consultant is available to you by email and phone, and can arrange a face-to-face consultation at your request. Then, on the day, your ensemble will arrive early, ready to play on time.
Our sister brand The Innovative Works is home to Australia's finest young composers. So if you have a special song in mind, our composers will work to beautifully arrange your song for the ensemble (where possible).
Remember, there are much better things to worry about on your wedding day than the music and entertainment. That's why at O-vation, we're more than happy to accommodate changes (where possible) to fit your wedding. We'll do our best to accommodate even last minute changes (again, where possible) - so that when the big day arrives it's one less thing for you to worry about.
